Achieving Your Goals: Make Your To-Dos To-Dones
You can have all the “to-dos” in the world but without goals and planning they will never get “to-done”.
In the craziness of everyday, we can get discouraged by the amount of things that need to be done – how, when, why? Well, I’m here to tell you not to give up! Writer Rachael Phillips, suggests these tips to make your goals reachable:
Have ONE Goal
To keep your focus, set one goal and use your energy to make that one thing a great success.
Create a New Habit
Goals are only achieved by creating a habit, then consistently practicing it.
Stop Procrastinating
What is the point of setting a goal, if you aren’t going to take action to achieve your goal?
Keep it Simple
If you have too many things happening, you will ve overwhelmed and ineffective. Keep your surroundings organized and you will be more apt to reach your goal. Think about what you can make simple… your wardrobe, family menu, paper system.
“Regardless of what it is, if you can simplify it – do so.”
Rachael Phillips, Huffington Post
Be Happy
If you are happy, you will be able to accomplish more… including reaching your goals.
Schedule in some YOU Time
It doesn’t hurt to put the brakes on from time to time. When you can, schedule a bit of time for yourself. If you regain rest, you will experience clarity and be productive.
Focus
Again, have one goal and simplify life. To achieve your goals, whether it is to send more birthday cards to family, use your gym membership, keep up with laundry or maintain a chore chart for your kids, focus and keep it simple.
