We love the Neat products! Especially working with paper in our office, and with clients, the Neat products are a compact and perfect addition to our office! We reviewed two of the Neat company’s products:
This scanner from Neat is amazing! Once we had the scanner up and running, loading documents and scanning was SO fast (and accurate)!
I love that, after scanning documents, I was able to pick where I wanted the electronic copies to go to – an e-mail, Dropbox, iCloud, NeatCloud, QuickBooks, etc. This is a HUGE plus to using a scanner, especially in our office. When you are beginning to use a Neat scanner, I would recommend taking the time to understand the settings – they will work for you, if you take the time to look at the various settings and set them the first time. Even if you change them later, understanding them will make the process so much easier.
My favorite thing about the NeatConnect scanner, was the ability to scan multiple pages – front and back! This allowed me to maintain one document for easy storage or emailing (instead of having a collection of 1-sided, individual images). I will say, one word to the wise, if you already have Neat software on your computer, be sure to remove the previous versions before you attempt to install the NeatConnect software. I found the set up a bit cumbersome as it was, but having previously used the NeatReceipts in our office made using a second Neat product very difficult. I did call customer service and they were delightful to work with.

With the NeatConnect, we were able to arrange all sorts of files with the adaptable folder. Although it takes up more desk space than the NeatReceipts, it is a perfect fit for an office. With the NeatConnect, we are able to take all of our physical files and convert them to cloud-based images that our whole staff can share, instead of a paper file in a cabinet that you can only access while you are in the physical office.
When it comes to household organization, we especially like the NeatReceipts product. It is small, compact and easy to store away when you aren’t using it. We use it in our office and out visiting clients to keep digital records of invoices.
