Change is Springing Up at Home: Declutter and Lower Stress
As we approach Spring, it is the perfect time to bring up STRESS MANAGEMENT! Spring is a busy time of year – new sports are beginning, the school year is beginning to wind down, not to mention… spring cleaning. Spring is a time of change – change doesn’t usually bring a sense of peace and relaxation to most of us. Change can often create emotional clutter in our lives. It is only up to you to decide whether another season will pass you by – change clutter or simplicity. To find a “peace of the pie” this Spring, here are some tips to making change a positive thing:
OLD HABITS
When life is so busy, we get stuck in a routine whether it is a productive one or not. We forget to approach life with a new perspective. Look at some habits that may not be serving you – now is a great time for fresh beginnings. But remember, in order to be successful, only change one habit at a time.
TAKE ON A PROJECT
A project doesn’t have to be a big, overwhelming task, but find something in your home that represents stress to you and get it organized. Start small with something like a counter rather than the whole kitchen. Schedule the time in your calendar, put on comfy clothes, crank the music and make it fun!
