Remember…. You are on vacation!
Whether you are planning a family vacation or a romantic get-a-way, having the comforts of home in spite of where you go or what you do makes your vacation a memorable experience. And, whether you enjoy traveling in luxury or enjoy “roughing it”, a little planning goes a long way for the time that you are away from home.
PLAN & PACK
First, decide what type of vacation you are planning. Are you adventurous and enjoy beaches, history/explore, camping, skiing, cabins or road trips? Or, do you enjoy leisure vacations of shopping, spas, guided tours, houseboats or hotels? Once you decide what type of vacation fits you and your family the best and make your reservations, you can start packing!
BE PREPARED
Although you can usually find a Walmart or Target along the way, being prepared for your trip makes the trip less worrisome. Obviously, if you are going camping and forget your tent, your trip is going to have stresses along the way, unless you enjoy sleeping under the stars.
To get you packing for an enjoyable and relaxing vacation, here is a checklist for you to use when you are packing. Highlight what you’ll need. Then, check the items off when they are packed. Even take the checklist with you and use it as you are packing up to come home. Leaving your favorite pillow or an iPod behind doesn’t make for a happy ending.
Most of all, after all the planning and packing… have fun! Remember… you are on vacation!!
